Unstained, highly translucent, made of yttrium oxide stabilised, tetragonal ZrO₂. For the fabrication of fully and partially veneered frame constructions with high strength. Medical device Class IIa. Indications:

Crown frames;
Multi-pontic bridge frames;
Partially veneered crown and bridge frames;
Inlay bridges;
Maryland bridges;
Primary telescopes.

Physical data:

CTE 10.5 ± 1.0 x 10⁻⁶K⁻¹ (25-500 °C); density after sintering 6.07 ± 0.01 g/cm³; bending strength (3-point bending test) > 1200 MPa; sintering temperature 1400-1580 °C, recommended 1530 °C; translucency 39 %. Composition in %:

ZrO₂ HfO₂ Y₂O₃ ≥ 99; Y₂O₃ 4.5-6; Al₂O₃ ≤ 0.5; other oxides ≤ 0.5.
